Keep Safe with Cyber Security Month
Own it. Secure it. Protect it. That’s the theme of this year’s National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM).
Through this initiative, the government is working with industry to raise awareness about the importance of cyber security and to make sure that Americans have the resources they need to be safer and more secure online.
Personal accountability and the importance of taking proactive steps at home and in the workplace is the theme of the program this year.
During NCSAM, the NCSAM team emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity awareness.
However, at Intrust IT, we like to the cyber security conversation does not end when October is over. Cyber security awareness should be part of conversations with stakeholders, family, friends, and our communities.
NCSAM Toolkit and Tip Sheets for Your Teams
Each year the NCSAM Toolkit is updated to provide a comprehensive guide for individuals and organizations. It provides tips, printable sheets and more on engaging in and promoting cyber security awareness and developing effective practices. The Toolkit offers a variety of ways to get people engaged in the cyber security awareness effort anytime, anywhere, not just during October.
Additionally, the NCSAM Tip Sheets provide steps to mitigate risks and protect yourself. Implement these resources in your communities and share them with your stakeholders throughout the year to encourage ongoing smart cybersecurity habits.
