Intrust IT Expands Employee Ownership by Acquiring Hard Warehouse Technologies

Hard Warehouse Technologies

Blue Ash-based IT services company’s acquisition of local computer hardware supplier creates full-circle moment.

Intrust IT brought Hard Warehouse Technologies into its corporate umbrella on January 1, 2021. The move presented a unique opportunity for Intrust IT founder, Tim Rettig, who was once an intern with Hard Warehouse Technologies as a college student long ago.

Since opening their Blue Ash location in the 1980s, Hard Warehouse Technologies (HWT) has offered hardware and software sales and computer repair to businesses of all sizes throughout Greater Cincinnati. “We’re grateful to be able to bring the expertise of Hard Warehouse Technologies’ staff into the Intrust fold,” Tim Rettig said. “But most importantly, Intrust is thrilled to be able to offer employee ownership to HWT staff members, all of whom have been with the company for over a decade.”

Rick Soper, founder of Hard Warehouse Technologies, noted that the acquisition fulfills his vision for the future of HWT.  “Intrust is a company that aligns very closely with our belief that customer service is the cornerstone of all good businesses,” he said. “Our current customers will continue to receive the excellent support we have endeavored to offer for the last 30 years.” In addition, these customers have the opportunity to increase their IT support with Intrust’s proven managed service packages, backup and recovery practices and $1 million cybersecurity guarantee.

Current Hard Warehouse Technology employees have already joined the Intrust IT team at the company’s Blue Ash offices at 9850 Redhill Dr. “My passion is expanding employee ownership, because I see it as a great way to reduce income inequality and improve our local economy.  This is the first of many acquisitions that we have planned that will further that mission.  Intrust is excited to bring these new staff members on board as part of our award-winning team,” Rettig said.

HWT clients in need of continued support should contact Intrust IT at (513) 469-6500.
